Sleep Well
Pardon me, I didn’t realize
What's in your eyes.
I’m staring at the sky,
Listening to your words.
I close my eyes and feel a hand,
I won’t lie and tell you it’s alright.
Where do we go from here?
Who will dry your eyes when it falls apart?
It was late at night, you held on tight.
I was down a road, looking at one I've known.
Somewhere in these eyes, I'm on your side.
Yours for the taking, don’t be mistaken.
I saw you in a dream, you came to me
Then I awoke and I was so sad.
Running down the stairs with our hands locked
All good things come to an end,
You came and left so fast.
The only chance is when the sun and moon finally meet,
They feast and whisper til time has caught in another light.
