Sleep Still
believe me
when I say
what I’ve never said
it isn’t lost
it is born again
this snow
is newly fallen
and untrodden
just like you
it is virgin
golden laced
curls wind once
around your ear
to rest in cursive
on my pillow
sleep still
draped in covers
draped in my gaze
dream once of
ancient river love
awaken, will you?
inside out aglow
more than ever able
to conquer, conquer
and be conquered
