Sleep Joshua

I am not sure if you are having a peaceful rest
I may not know you but my heart feels you
My bones feels your fear and trauma
How scary it must have been in a land full of strangers
Being tortured by the humans that could not even understand your pleading
Yes they are humans and not animals
And they a bit more scary than wild animals

Did they not know how dear you were to your mama
Did they not know your father depends on your future
Did they not know how hard you had struggled to be there
Did they even not know that your country had trusted you
How ruthless of them

I wish I had not seen your picture for your sad face still dwells in my brain
Imagining how scared you might have been and the pain you might felt breaks my heart into thousand pieces

Do not be sad everything will be okay
Sleep son sleep
The Lord will pay for your injustice
Sleep son sleep
Your soul should rest for sure
