Sleep, Dear Child
Sleep dear child,
and dream of a land
Where the sunlight shines,
upon soft golden sand
Where Unicorns run,
as free as you please
The hair on their manes,
flow soft in the breeze
Fairies aloft,
twinkling like stars
Like a hand full of fireflies,
kept in a jar
The warmth of the air,
in the mid of the day
Makes you wish,
it was here you could stay
The trees, sing a song,
with a sweet melody
The animals dance,
oh how lovely to see
And when comes the night,
with the stars all aglow
When sleep fills your eyes,
it's to bed you will go
Your dreams take you back,
to this magical place
You know you'll awake,
with a smile on your face
