Notes About The Poem

" TEMPTATION " MY PHOTO, ©

May be an image of rose and outdoors

Slaves of Technology

Oh, technology,

You, robber of:

Our hearts

Our minds

Our very souls

Slaves have we become

To you

Having given up our dreams

Our ambitions

Our feelings

So

Here and there, aimlessly,

We are driven,

Sightless

Heartless

Mindless

Soulless

Against our will

Against our beliefs

Against our humanity,

Consequently,

Instead of you, oh technology,

A servant of ours to be,

Subservient, to you, alas, we have

Become!

Dear friend and poet, Demetrios, this is a well-crafted poem. So accurate! Every day, I am concerned about the temptation.

- A well written poem ... a little is good ... but too much is not good ... simple as that, my friend :) - hugs

Your words ring so true Demetrios. We see it all the time, I've heard of many ditching their technology like phones etc and they've all said how better they feel for doing it. You see it in restaurants everyone staring at their phones, no one talking. Technology may have its positive uses but moderation is the key. Tom .

Yes, I have noticed this movement, my friend, Tom, even in commercials here in Greece. Thank you for your analytic comment. Be blessed!
