He’s sorry and wished it undone
But dad’s home—there’s no where to run  
The spanking's intense
Father never relents        
And imprints his hands on his son

I very much like the way you wrote this. That's the way I came up. ,,,, belt or a tree switch. A lot of times we had to go get our own switch ;} that was my mom . Whom I love with out a doubt. Hey you have a blessed Easter Sunday Duke ;}

You have skills, I have never tried this form. The trouble with reading a masters work is that it appears to be deceptively easy. As with other styles that is far from the truth.

Well, that is the way it used to be and I am sure that in some homes that is the way it still is...The loving mother or father have more agony about the discipline than most children do..Enjoyed your work very much..Yes, the Maple syrup that I was referring to was the real thing and I was sad when the bottle was empty for it is very expense and I probably will not have any more for a long time..The corn syrup that is used as a sweetener now ruins everything..It has an odd taste..Sara

Duke thanks for your sweet comments to me today. well, it's good you can find humor in these things from your childhood. My hubbie had to get past a lot of emotional stuff once he left home and it can be quite difficult. Let me reread another limerick you explained to me.
