Sky So Blue

Sky so blue
Ah the sky was so blue,
we looked an we knew,
The rain was never about.
We never had rain,
For three years again,
Perhaps there’s another drought.

The ground cracks like a curse,
In the black soil it’s worse,
With no blades of the grass,
Trees chewed on alas,
Death, the result of no rain.

Eternity passes, dead grass an molasses,
We will have to send them a droving,
Down the long paddock route,
Any Tucker about?
Send her down Huey we’re praying.

Another slant on blue skies. Even they can get tiresome. Well done and congratulations. Love, Joyce

Yes indeed. During a drought we pray for rain clouds. Cain't imagine having to go three whole years without rain. We've had drought where I come from but never that bad. God has been very good to us iin that matter. That must have been the grand-daddy of all droughts. Good imagery here. God Bless AND MAY YOU NEVER SEE ANOTHER DROUGHT LIKE THAT ONE. JB
