Sky In Summer
Sweep my eyes across the view
and settle them on thoughts of you
Pouring yourself into work
and lifting rain clouds high
Turned my head to catch the sun
land in my hands (it weighs a ton)
and threw it right back to the sky
so I could see you clearly
Stomped in puddles from a shower
barely lasted one full hour
Rainbow settled on your shoulder
prism for a smile
When I think, I think of you
in colors brilliant, rarely blue
and hope your tender soul has peace
just like the sky in summer...
