Sky Ballet

What a most amazing sight
to see so many birds in flight
Hundreds, thousands move as one
black against the setting sun
Across the sky they weave and spin
with each movement more join in,
In waves they come, I stand enthralled
each bird appears to have been called
Above the sea and over town
they climb to heights, then plummet down
Though cold the wind, I gaze in awe
and the ballet ends as the dancers soar

June, nature shows us so many delights. The closeness of these birds in flight, twisting and turning is wonderful. Another gem from your pen >> James
