Sky Artistry

Breathtaking swirls and
fluffy pillowed clouds
compete within
rich rosy purples and pinks
and spaces of so light a blue
its almost cream
and look, there,
a finger of roiling gray to
splice through the view
as if writing with a
curlique.

Suddenly time, space, and the colors shift
and every shade darkens
in their hue of gray, white, pink
while the spaces of blue
seem to move
with the writing wisps
that are charcoal now
as the wind swirls the sky.

Oh my.
What a play!
What a scene!
Written in space
for a moment.

Sue this poem is amazing - The Surgery will be on my back - I just had one Surgery in July but I need another and then a fusion with bone grafted from my hip - I wrote that poem for the contest I'm a little depressed but I'm still smiling - Thanks for the concern it's very sweet of you - We have a house guest and I've gave up my computer room to them so my time is very limited on here till after the 28th but I wanted to let you know whats up - God Bless you Sue

Sue you have such a talent to paint pictures with words. The second stanza is breathtaking with the various colors. It took a hold of me. Lovely write.

What a sight it can be just looking at the evening sky! Quite often we go about our business, and never notice what beauty is right above our heads! Thanks for calling to attention the wonder of it all! Lovely! Carrie

Wow. What a glorious moving painting of nature! Love how the the sky changes so swiftly towards sunset. Sometimes you just can't help but stare for what seems like forever. It is that beautiful, as is your write! Love, Shar
