Skin Deep
-------- SKIN DEEP --------
Beauty is only skin deep, a saying so old
Though, it seems that is where beauty
truly begins to unfold
Those criticized for being -------
Too short, too tall
Too fat, too small
l
Body odor, teeth in disorder
Body parts in disproportion
Facial acne not cured with lotions
Disheveled hair, clothes in need of repair
Many of these people I have known----
Considered underdogs, oddballs
Weird and weak, flowers on the wall
Lack of self esteem and confidence
Too different, dark humor sense
Look past and through these and you will find
as I have found-----
Delightful, delicious people !!
Unique and special !!
Loving and caring !!
Daring to be themselves !!
Unlike the " beautiful people "
Knowing their limitations !!
Not trying, or dying, to impress anyone !!
Cultivating the real, true beauty !!
Deep beneath skin depth !!
Helping those with ills needing care !!
Not looking in the mirror fixing their hair !!
Willingness to do the silliest stuff !!
Not caring if their clothes get mussed !!
The most interesting people with lives
rich and fascinating !!
With beauty oozing with every word
and touch and gesture !!
These people draw my attention !!
To experience their beauty---
IS TRULY A THING OF BEAUTY !!!!!
BEYOND--- SKIN DEEP--- !!!!!
