Skeptical
When I first talked you I was skeptical
I had given up on love cuz of all i'd been through
But I didn't realize what I'd really found
and my heart is still in disbelief
that I may have found what I've been looking for
Cuz your so good to be true
When you say and do all those nice things
My hearts says maybe these words aren't true
and maybe he will turn out to be just like the rest
So sometimes my heart rejects you
It's hard for me to let anyone in
but just give it some time
be patient with me
Let these wounds heal and let my heart breath
promise you'll stick around and prove it to me
so I can experience love
and the feeling of being in love
for the first time.
