Skater Days
Four wheels and a piece of wood
Whoever thought this would feel so good
Riding around grinding and jumping
Who would've thought this was actually something
From skate parks to scrape marks
Everyday was an adventure
Riding down to the dairy queen wind in my hair
Watching the world fly by watching as people stare
They didn't know my name or where I was going
I was the skater kid that's all they were knowing
Adrenalin pumping around ever turn
Watching my idols dying to learn
After a while things sure did change
Stair sets hand rails and curbs all looked so strange
Not as foundation or landscape to adore
To me they were everything I wanted and more
Breaking bones and snapping decks
After learning of sponsors I just wanted checks
Years went on and I rode by
Known as that skater kid but now skater guy
Working now with college and bills
Every now and then reliving thos thrills
From kickflips to healflips varials to treys
Nothing competes with my skater days
