Sixties Colors

orange comes and gets me
excitedly showing me yellow
I smile at his enthusiasm.

Yellow winks, delighting pink
who give me a bit of love
Plaid walks by and tries to horn in

But we are all about the sixties
So we chase plaid off
preferring floral.

hippies of the sixties were popular because they wore those colors and wrote poetry in the face of social macho illusions …...stan

Wait just a mad minute now: MADRAS was in, at least in Chicago! Ha, ha! lol. What an era! (Reminds me of today, what with hatred of the President Nixon,... campus unrest... Woodstock = Republic of Chop... and all those hippie communes in Vermont...without as much bitterness, though, and better songs too!)
