Six Feet Above
Today the earth is pleasant
Last night, I slept with the half-moon
Looking down to a wary peasant
Working so to grab a spoon
Today the earth is spherical
Tomorrow, I'd be buried six feet above
It's a nasty place, but not cynical
We always pray to the one above
Forever, the earth is generous
To contain the living amongst the dead
Killing for a plot is dangerous
We only get six feet, when we windup dead.
