Sitting On a Boulder
I was sitting on a boulder
Up in the mountains one fine day,
Looking all around at nature’s
Display of mountains, trees and sky,
Valleys and rivers down below
During my Wednesday lunch break hour.
How fortunate we are to come
From our cities and towns below
Away from their hustles, bustles,
Noise and their concrete jungle lives
And be able to see, enjoy
This beauty Mother Nature shows.
But, unfortunately today,
I’ve got to go back down to work
Until the clocks strike five again
And tomorrow’s lunch hour comes
When once more I’ll come and sit on
Mother Nature’s big boulder seat.
