Sitting Down To Dinner

searching for feelings
  in tune with my soul
harmony is nice

  deafening
the music explodes
my body taut, chest
  heaving,
  spooked

sitting down to dinner
  we how-was-your-day it
not much
  yeah, same old

staring into our mugs
  brimming with
    pretend

“Brimming with pretend”. Have you been sneaking into my kitchen?

You've caught me red-headed, Caren! LOL. ~ Still have a few non-gray hairs

How often we do that, feeling the day could have gone better than it did. Hope you're well Tom

You mean the day is gone already?! Thanks Tom. All's well here. Hope the same is true across the big pond! Cheerio, Gershon
