Sisters

They suffer when we suffer. They celebrate when we celebrate and finally find our way. There is not enough gratitude, in all the hearts I’ve known, that can match my thanks, to my very own. Who else will risk their emotional health, to try to heal siblings far from home? When others give up, so easy to do, only they stay in the fray. Like twins are we, not identical, but love paternally, our hearts showing us the way. To ignore such a gift, given freely, or take it for granted, is to ensure a heavy price we must pay. Advice freely given we ignore in our youth, only if our hearts are opened by God’s intervention, Do we realize they can be saviors, that have deserved our attention.
