Sisters

So she named them;
Marvel, Pearl, Wonder,
As they came one by one,
Those perfect gems,
Into the world of men
Who desired to hem
Each of them
Into the garment
Of his own design,
Never comprehending
The Mystica* of her.

Chetta, congratulations on your win with this wonderful metaphoric write - a pearl to marvel in and revel in the wonder of women. So great it is based on three sisters. Seems like the world of "men" desires to capture "pearls" in binding hems. Sending you blessings.

Thank you. Years ago I worked as a nurses aid in a nursing home. One of the residents was a woman named Marvel, and her sisters were Wonder and Pearl. I thought those the most beautiful names. At one time Marvel had been a Taxi driver in Seattle.
