Sister
Sister
poem
Lionel Derbyshire
Sister .. sister
when in euphoria
I ponder on you
the bridge you were
through hard day's
and tough age stage's.
The pillows we lumped on..
Dumping your consoling comforts.
The memorys of the roughest
fences you helped me over
to reach offerings
and pickings of peach trees
which we were hungry to.
We fell into trenches
and felt like stooges.
You would scold me..
And lulabye's we would sing
when cleaning our teeth.
Toothpaste we shared
and the bread we ate after.
We had no rules and
you let me have the most.
Sister.. sister
My keeper bodyguard..
Always the most underated
in the family.
When I was cold
You were a jersey
and head rest
in a pink dress.
My parent surrogate
My tower
My refuge.
