Sir-Prize

Late to the doc
    I ran the last block

  Was about to enter
    when right in the center

  of the office
    there she stood

  my old flame

  My brain went a-reelin'
    the room spun around
  I saw 'twarn't no use
    to put my head down

  and pretend it was over
'cos Lord knows it was not...

  Twenty years later for lovers
    just ain't a helluva lot

Surprise…surprise…surprise as Gomer used to say. A true twinge of the heart - who can put out the flame? I see Michael’s comment below: on my 25th h.s. reunion, I finally got to hug my crush…lol! NK!

Oh my, this shouldn't happen to anyone, gw. Nope, twenty years, uh, it takes longer than that to extinguish some of those old flames.

I don't think that they're ever extinguished, frankly. Kind of like smoking. Once you're hooked. You can't quite the habit 'til you're dead.

I'm sure you were Surprised or rather Sir-Prize. What did you say? You never know who you will run into Gershon. I hope you departed in good terms. My only question is, did you tell the wife??

Glad to hear you survived through it all, and all was well my friend...
