Siren Song On Repeat

Reason can't muster
Why her attraction is such a fluster
I'm lustful
Distrustful, Mistrustful
Trust rusts over and becomes dust
My feelings are so uncontrollable
My emotions are a rollercoaster
Palms become fists
Cringing for what we have not
How can we resist
A treasure we don't got?
Somebody get me a speedometre for my heart

But we take a breath
And so do the clocks around us.The little hand laps the big hand a hundred times
And our senses ease.
Where is the lust, the energy, all we experienced when hearing the Siren Song?
We try to remember it, to enjoy a moment of ecstasy in our minds
But really, it's gone
gone
Until the Siren Song is sung again.
