Sins of My Mother

Life is multidimensional; multifaceted; intricate.
At times, it is straight forward with only two directions to choose from;
a forward direction or a backward direction.
Other times, it is circular; repetitive and vicious.
Life has taught you a lot
Life has given you much to be grateful for
Your daughter is your gift
Learn from your childhood,
Learn from your parents mistakes
Be the parent that growing up, you would have loved your own to be.
Years from now, I hope the only forgiveness your daughter will owe to you,
will be the day you forgot to pick her up from school,
and nothing else.
Happy Birthday, to a new father.
