Sinking

Peaceful waves no more
The tide is high and I am drowning
Shallow water too far away to swim to
Struggling to keep my head above the water

You pretend to offer solice
you lend a hand and help me
but, silly me I don't see what's happening
You commanded the waves to engulf what is left of me

I look far and wide for assistance
But, your evil ways show progressive persistance
On the horizan I see a boat and beg for help
Relieved to finally be in safety I realize I am on the Titanic and its sinking, sinking,
sinking, sinking
