Sinking

Lost at sea. The water is my own. Drowning in my emotions, I gasp for a breath of air, Swallowing dreams, Juggling time. Dark vibrations ripple toward me. Confidence drifts away, Doubt invades my mind. . My thoughts grow shallow. The water remains deep. I’m overwhelmed. Waves of hope rise. Then crash. Fortune evaporates Love is denied fruition. And so I sink. The water claims its prize.
