Singularity and Similarity

At the beginning of time
you looked like a green singularity,
a botanical thing itself,
but a couple of weeks ago the space of the lawn in front of my house
lighted a sun,
yellow and not very hot,
around which the furry satellites of bumblebees revolved...
I always guessed that death is just the beginning of something new:
this morning, looking out the window,
I saw that the star had died and turned into a little expanding universe.
Soon, I,
lean and bald,
will smile to myself,
observing a certain similarity between me and you.

The protagonist guesses. The author knows. A pretty routine situation, isn't it?) Thank you.

"I always guessed that death is just the beginning of something new" - this is my belief, also.
