Singled Out

Suicidal
with this gin
in hand.

He's repeating history
when his denials
another grim demand.

Who knew silence could be so loud?

He wonders why their here at the end,
but when needed the most,
he couldn't find a single friend.

Singled out.
Across the crowd.
