Single Trace

No one hears my silences
none seen beyond my mask
pain hidden by laughter's task
sadness pulls at either corner of my mouth
cottoned coughs explain
the unheld tears
hold on tight to fears
as self just disappears
and blank shadow
takes its place
just behind my face
the last single trace

Hello Christopher Quigley, some of us hide our sadness very well. Some of us do not. We lose ourselves in sadness yet we always find ourselves later on when we get strong. have a nice day my friend.
