Singing

I remember
you singing
for the talent show...

You were wearing a
hula skirt
of all the other possible
costumes...

I noticed you had a
nervous habit
of swaying side to side

You were singing with your
friend, but all i heart
was your voice,
and all I saw
were your beautiful
hazel eyes.

Hey soul sister...
I would sing along
with my friends...
but really,
I was singing along with you.
