Singed By Love

Open your heart, and blindly we'll see The irony, that is you and me What was meant to, but never meant to be Just hit rock bottom Dang.... And the pain was too much to bare Love locked and loaded, fired at will And it seems only I was caught in the crosshairs with bullets of temptations and frustrations Struck through my heart and hit patients and dedication .... Creating beauty in Devastation So hold your applause Hold the applause there was no cause for celebration A man has been shot, A-Man-Has-Been-Shot! Shoot down in his occupation, Which was to love you.... but the flame that was our love, still burned bright Shadering the darkness in it's light Leaving no corner unturned not an obstacle out of sight And now blindly we see.... That "our love".... has burned itself But with no time to give We stood our ground Then turned around, And what we found? A sight so profound That mere description needs no sound So busy fighting off the world That we couldn't see that our flame.... Has already went out
