Day by day we carry on
Good days, bad days, through out the years
Joy and laughter or sadness and tears
No matter the mood, we still look to you
And you... you sing us a song

Celebrate life and love with all our might
When all is good and the sun shines bright
We stop, soak it all in and look to you

We've been lonely, lost, and overcome with despair
Setbacks and losses, we've had our fair share
For guidance and advice, nothing has changed
We look to you. And as always, you sing us a song
Day by day we carry on
Your legacy remains, it is alive and strong
Your wisdom and love never lead us wrong
As promised, your love is everlasting and we look to you
Sing us a song
A song to bring courage when our strength is low
You have our back, forever, we know
A song that brings comfort during a hard time
It whispers so softly, glad you're mine
A song to encourage us, to help us push through
There's no quitting, yes, we hear you
A song to remind us just who we are
You're singing now, you are never far
A song to let us know you're smiling too
Because even in the best moments, we wish for you
Day by day we carry on
Thankful for what was and for all that is yet to come
No reason to fear the future, we know where we come from
That love, that memory, will keep us looking to you
