Notes About The Poem

Sing On
Prompt: Seduce the stars without a script...
A beating heart, pounding in rhythms
Creating music to stir the spirit,
Broken pieces of yesterday, in notes of light
Rising to the skies, erasing destiny
With heavenly melodies – desires so alive
Seduce the stars without a script…
Heart songs, in moments of grace
Playing on the feelings who can’t take away
The blessing – in the wind, on the air
Where light stills the broken wings of a mist
Stirring awake God’s listening ear
whispers of a prayer, destined to remind
What once was – is still inside, inviting
Melodies who combine to color history in beautiful
Far more alluring than usual,
A destiny…
Still waters, stirred by floating leaves
Who drift toward night,
Knowing the stars only grief
Is felt when the tones of the wind
Hesitate and swim toward shores
Of make believe, and laughing silence
Where once a heart lived,
But now… it’s so quiet
Reflecting the mystery, the magic
Feelings like the wind,
Oh, sometimes it is so tragic…
When will healing come, it’s not suggested
By the tones of a melancholic note,
Melodies who remember only to cry out
With fallen stars…
A feeling far more alive
Than the song who plays out, hesitant
As a prayer who is softly spoken
But always knowing…..
Light in the glistening skies
Remembers…
Oh she remembers…
Where good passed goodbye
And the seeds of a morning dove
Fell from the silence,
Telling of what will be
When yesterday stills the dreams
And the heart truly believes
What is meant to be,
Only God can write the notes
Of a song more purely poured from a heart,
A heart who knows that it is God
Who says what is to come…
And what is to be sung,
By hearts who know…
Timeless words, written in the skies
Are songs, mists, heavenly hints
At what it means to shine brighter,
To glisten into the soft and gentle night,
With a promise to never let go…
I won’t let go… when night fades
And morning erases the notes of these songs,
I’ll sing on… on and on…
The sweetest song, a prayer, praise
Written by stars who still say…
Sing on, my love, sing of this Son…
Who is love incarnate, love that lives on
Through the endless nights,
Through the darkest doom,
Throughout history… as stars still write
His love never stops shining,
Wherever there is a heart crying
He is there, writing notes of sweet hope
He is the hope that sings on
Through the stars, you can see His sweet love
Sing on…
