Sing a Song To a Stream of Water
Sing a song to a stream of water,
From a shower, a river, a reflection at night;
Feel it rolling in the form of tears,
Or in the bath, where you sing out of sight.
After a picnic with potato salad,
Swing your bare feet in the lake’s foamy edge,
Watch the joy young children derive
From drawing water pictures with a pencil etch.
Sing of its cool ripples and harmonies,
Splashing little frogs at twilight play.
Sing to a stream of water,
From a shower, a river, a reflection at night.
