Sing

(Never really done one of these before, but the news report this morning inspired me to do a senryu) standing midst the rubble homeless Haitians sing their prayers

A nice tribute to those in crisis, shows where your heart lies. In compassion. But to be pernickety I thought Senyrus were meant to be satirical.

very good, the magnitude of such a disaster befalling people who are allready so poor is typical of natures indifference.

And may God help their loved ones left behind. It was a real tragedy. Your senryu is very touching. We must all keep them in our prayers, too. Andrea, this heartfelt poem is very touching. Lovingly, Dane Ann

This is beautiful. We have missionaries from our church that are over there. They run an orphanage. Someone got a call from them and they said that they are all fine then the line went dead. Thank you for commenting on my poem about Big Daddy. I believe that our spirit can communicate somehow. I can feel at times the spirit when I read a poem and then when someone comments on my work. It is as if they are here. I will have to soup mail you about something that happened years ago. Sara

God bless the people of Haiti and help them in their efforts to rebuild. I'm proud that the US is providing some aid, but it certainly will not be enough. Powerful senryu, Andrea, with an image that is not only timely but also heartwrenching. Love, Carolyn
