Sinful Memories

I'm going to hell for ****ing you over
Trading you in for another lover.
Shot after shot, into your heart
That's left bloody and torn apart.

And somehow I still feel sane
Got no soul, just devils tolls.
Moving on day by day
And on your knees you waste your time, and pray.
It's not getting you far
Street bars to hide your scars.
Through blood shot eyes, you still think of me.
You cry, yet you were never my man.
Trying to keep me forever, scared me to death
Still I'm the last wish on your breath
You slip this secret to your friend
As you exhale the smoke from your chest.

You're a wreck
And I'm the train
I'm a hazard to your brain
Stop thinking of me and catch your breath
You're going to lose everything
And nothing will be left..

its difficult to pen it down which we own unto our heart or hold on to our breath.... but that's poetry ..which makes you empty which you cant hide anything even from self. Regards Rao

Poor guy, he will survive and so will you. The fact that you gave this so much thought is proof your heart is intact and you are a caring person. Well written and sensitive depiction of a difficult situation.
