Sincerely Yours
SINCERELY YOURS
He hears no bells but they ring just the same.
He feels sorry for himself as a little boy prays.
In the clutch of braces that squeeze his heart
and cause him to disbelieve that God exists
or maybe he doesn’t care at all nor hear his request.
High powered binoculars weed words into his eyes.
He’s a spy of humankind, but no word is heard.
He’d have leapt off the building cliff but for her,
who loved him with harsh words, “Have you no courage?”
With vigor, his fingers suddenly thunder across black and white keys.
Waking up with haste from his harikari and deafness,
he delivers miracles by his hand... or is it by God’s smile?
