Sin Weighs Me Down

SIN WEIGHS ME DOWN

                      restrained by my knees
my God pulls out all the weeds
brings me to my feet

Sweet truthful poem, Kim. A most luscious Senryu offering. Nothing's better than dusting off the knees w/a clean spirit. Love your work as always. Love and hugs aplenty.

Mea culpa While the sins of others may give pain with which I'm fraught They don't cause me unceasing distress that lingers within It's those things that I did but should not have, or didn't but ought That nag me in the wee small hours and stay under my skin

So true. And so we must forgive ourselves as well and go and sin no more. Thanks, Geoffrey!
