Simply Wonderful

Simply fantastic, I must say
For when Time questions how I've been,
I must be honest and say I've been merely Alice.
Be it any time of day, I am and should still be the only Alice.
But, when asleep, I fear there could be someone else who is Alice.
As far as I know, no one else is simply Alice.
Which is truly astounding, I must say.
