Simply the Best
In rock and roll, she's simply the best.
She gleamed so bright against the rest,
but the memory of her tragic past
made the shadow of her sorrow last.
In rock and roll, she was a queen.
She's like a legend of silver screen.
The burning flame of her exotic appeal
made the enthralled hearts squeal.
But what's love got to do with it
when her rock and roll became a hit?
She's just a jewel with a natural gleam.
Her light soared through the skyline seam.
Her vogue style made her iconic.
She's both a liquor and a tonic.
She alone was already sufficient.
Her daring style was simply magnificent.
