Simply Me

Simply Me

I hide a hidden pain behind a fake laugh
I hide a shattered heart behind a beautiful smile
I hide a tortured soul behind a brave facade

The tears I hold back overwhelm my spirit
The sobs I muffle ring loudly in my ears
The screams I silence rend my mind asunder

I ache for the pain of sweet release
I long for the peace of eternal numbness
I crave the silence only sleep can bring

Faith is but a memory
Hope was rarely there
Healing a fools dream

This is about me and yes I am getting help. There are times when the best release is just to get it out. Words are my most precious release.

The poem has a very fast pace, drawing deeply upon my emotions. I want to cry out -- to hold and to fix the hurt. . . but that would not be good . . . for it is in this desolate place where one must hold onto the truth that they are not alone . . . and together begin to travel to wholeness. If this poem is about your hurt -- then don't ever give up. Fight for each step -- take help, take courage from the people around you. Powerful . . . all the best.
