Simplicity

simplicity soothes me not
complication is my path
when the hour is at its darkest
is when my wits are at their sharpest
when the pain comes so does my smile
i married misery and dated sorrow
but will flirt with disaster tomorrow
for i live everyday as if it were my last
each minute is a perverbial blast
from cradle to cript and sunrise to sunset
I owe no debts and hold all the cards
my utterances are like shrapnel
piercing the heart of mankind
and binding its hands
forging a pact with insanity is my only hope
in deciphering the babble of the masses
in my minority roll all souped up
to feed the meek when time has no accord
months fly like weeks and the future is bleek
simplicity soothes me not
