Simple Things

The simple things couldn’t mean more
The stepping stones to what is in store
For you and me on this road filled with light
Our words connecting through day and night

Our favorite songs shared together
With moments floating light as a feather
Board games to play, just to have some fun
Talks about animals, sights in the sun

The simple things that mean so much more
That weave lives together, stronger than before
Things we like to make, cook and eat
The flavors of cookies we like that are sweet

Creativity flows with inspiration across miles
I read and I write with so many fun smiles
The simple things, nature also brings us too
We share in harmony in a song so very true

I loved the lines, "Things we like to make, cook and eat/The flavors of cookies we like that are sweet" I love cookies in Autumn and the Winter, those just warm me up during those times!
