Simple Sin

Self diagnosed mentality
 Has been proven insane
Yet I know I still have a brain

The breakup of family
The death of friends

Crucifixion of this lonely life
Nothing seems to satisfy

I’m caught in a rift of fire
And burning desire to self medicate
And live close to the wire

Deeper and deeper buried in a hole
I’m told to believe and set my goal

They say don’t worry
Just breathe in
Or will I lose my grip with this simple sin
