Simple Love
What is
a gentle touch,
a soft smile,
a warm embrace,
nap time cuddling,
night time hugs,
soothing massages,
sweet butterfly kisses,
hand holding often,
looking into each other eyes,
catching each other when we fall,
learning everything we can about one another?
All of these
are parts
of the simple love
we have and show
for each other.
Having to hold
this love inside
for days or weeks
at a time is hard,
but our love endures
because it is true.
When all else crumbles
our love remains
because it has to.
