Simple Life

Poem: Simple Life

I don't want
a
Victorian,
on
the waterfront,
with
a
Baby Grand
piano
In
the window -
I don't want
to
own
a house
in
the mountains,
to
watch
the falling
snow
in
winter -
What
I really want,
Is
No Frills
simplicity -
I can live
without
Horseback
riding
on
the lagoon -
I'm
not the
one
to fly
in
a
Hot Air balloon -
I don't need
a
Yacht
in
the harbor,
I don't wish
to sail,
the
seven seas -
I just want
peace,
somewhere
out on
the
open range,
where cattle
graze -
where wind
bends,
tall grass
to
leaning -
Where
corn
grows like
hay -
I don't need
a
nine course
meal,
in a
five star
restaurant -
No
flashing
neon lights,
Champaign
or
caviar -
I just want
to
be free,
out
in
the open
air,
where
wild horses
roam -
