Simple

Simple to say I love you,
Hard to see in my sense.
Light or dark a past tense.
Sealed lips not one clue.

Collection cups are now due.
Penny's built my picket fence,
Many minds faceted or dense.
And each one I did surely spew.

I do stand here,
A bunch of mess.
You are over there,
Plenty that guess.

My hand is out and my head is down,
In my heart I hold your golden crown.

Nice sonnet, Ann. The title is a nice contrast to the complexity within it.
