Simalar Too the First One
I looked down towards
were the Background singers were
to enter and I could swear
they were making faces at me
I signaled them to come out on stage
and i could swear they were
pointing and laughing at me
I stared at them and the next
thing I remember was
seeing the spotlight above me
and the stage attendant holding my hand.
I had fainted maybe in disbelief
I wondered why these people
plotted against me.
It is easy to make a heel of someone
and stand united to have
others draw conclusions.
I had taken these people
in and taught them
the business from day one.
Maybe it was from me being
frugal or maybe from me
being involved with others
who they had either
taken a liking to themselves or
had not liked or even cared for.
But all I could think about was
that these six people
were to be stars, they were stars
they just were stars with me
maybe they wanted to be on
there own to do there
own thing.
So when all was well I
dissolved the partnership
and found new members.
I am so glad I did.
"they shall wander by
chance: might I gloat
in my own experiences.
My new wife said don't
take steaks to
the pigs feet party, those
people are looking
for something greasy.
' I learned to listen to her.
We went to the top of the charts
and breezed through number one
in three categories. Her generous
spirt contributes to our fortunate way
of being.
