Silver Lining of Ike
Nature’s strength, brings times of change
Assisting our Lord with our path to rearrange
Texas-sized
Hurricane Ike
Came in full force with its strike
So many tree tops, cleaned and trimmed
To come back fresh and grow again
Clearing new views in the skies
Of the sunset and the sunrise
Out with the old to bring in the new
Opening doors of opportunity for me and you
Families become closer, appreciating life
What does the trick?
A little bit of strife
Lessons are learned, new plans are made
Always heed warnings, be prepared, not afraid
Helping one another with God’s Grace
Put’s each of us in the right place
To receive the Blessings around the bend
That God is holding in His Hand
With the storm’s fury and through the aftermath
We must look at Ike’s Silver Lining
And our brand new path
