Silently Within

A year gone,
Started very bright with hot passion
But now dim and cold in old fashion
Could have sworn on its eternity
But doubted your love
Its depth I never knew
Though I felt it
Never to toil with your heart
But I did, Sorry
Feigning affection to love
This refused to grow
My thoughts of kindness
Shadowed a lurking opportunist
Who said Love with no Love
But I did, so it is over
I can say it, but not in your face
I can write it, but cannot read to you
Silently it dwells within.
