Silent Sleeping Song

For this is it, it’s all I am.
I can’t foresee the future - there’s no master plan.
Days go by unnoticed to the world.
Thoughts stay silent and secret in the little worlds.

How many dreams we have that can’t come true.
How many pride mistakes prove us as fools.

Remembering times we’ve had so long since gone.
Remembering our story each night - a silent sleeping song.

The years take hold and form us down.
Life battles on wearing our flesh and minds into the ground.

But eyes don’t age - I still see you there.
The woman I loved back then, throughout and will do forevermore, I swear.
